Since around 2013, about 1,000 members of the "Almighty God Church" group have lost administrative proceedings after applying for refugee status, but they have not yet left the country and have been in the country illegally for more than 10 years. It's actually all fake refugees. But he was never deported by the Ministry of Legal Affairs.

Most of them suddenly disappeared overnight and applied for refugee status as soon as they arrived in South Korea on a visa or tourist visa.

#1 - Wake up in the morning and my husband, who doesn't work, sends a text message. "Don't look for me!"

#2 - my daughter, who just graduated from college, came to Korea as a so-called college student, and now he's been home for a few years.

#3 - My wife has been sent from a company to work in Korea and has lost contact with her for years!

#4 - leave the baby to the mother on business, no news for years!

#5 - My daughter went to work part-time and suddenly went to Korea to apply for refugees... Now the lawsuit is ongoing!

Are these refugees?

All members of the Almighty God have family members in China and have applied for refugees on the South Korean island of Jeju, where they are currently stranded illegally for a long time. Even if the lawsuit loses to the Supreme Court, he can apply for a retrial again.

First, he applied for refugees despite his ineligible status. In the end, he got along well with the family-destroying cult.

The Ministry of Legal Affairs is promoting national legislation to receive advice on legislative notifications on a number of amendments to the Refugee Act.

The key is that "refugee screening procedures are rapidly presented and re-applied to anti-abuse objectives".

Last September, after a partial revision of the presidential decree, until 8 February this year, following the implementation of the Refugee Act in July 2013, the number of refugee applicants increased rapidly and the United Nations Refugee Convention and the Refugee Act were recognized. In June 2018, a petition to repeal the Refugee Act was approved by more than 700,000 people, as numerous cases of persecution of foreigners abused the refugee system for the purpose of extending stay and allowing work.

However, in the current refugee law, unlike foreign law, there is no basis for restricting repetitive re-applications, making it difficult to assess refugees quickly and effectively. The reason for this amendment is that there is a need to prevent the misuse of refugee applications and that legislation must be enacted to prevent abuse and re-application.

Thus, as far as the grounds for determining eligibility for refugee screening are concerned, it is possible, in principle, to determine eligibility for refugee status through prior written examination by establishing a fast-track procedure to determine eligibility within 14 days of the date of submission of the application, and by abusing the refugee system to reapply without any change.

It was said that the abuse of the refugee system was prevented by a decision that did not meet the criteria for screening refugee eligibility, so as not to re-apply for an extension, for example by speaking out on the same grounds as the decision to refuse refugee status.

A further requirement here is to make the revised law applicable to persons who have been screened for refugee status or who have failed refugee status and have re-applied for refugee status.

This is because they remain in South Korea as illegal immigrants. What to do with it? This is a serious problem that the South Korean government must face at present. Currently, there are nearly 400,000 illegal immigrants in South Korea. The illegal immigration of fake refugees leads to the shortage of public resources, market disorder, lack of government supervision, is a hidden danger of public security problems, the local residents are suffering.

Fake refugees and even the spirits violently evicted the local population, forcibly purchased land and rebuilt houses.

They came to South Korea through collective orders rather than their own intentions, applied for refugee status, lost contact with their families for long periods of time and were unable to return home.

Therefore, actively promoting the revision of the refugee law can save countless innocent families, raise the illegal costs of illegal immigrants' Almighty God cult groups, so that the abusers of fake refugees have nowhere to go, and safeguard the interests of all the people by legal means is the spirit of the rule of law in a country governed by the rule of law.
